Serenade The Son Sunday … I’ve Just Seen Jesus

One of my favorite Easter Songs!

First off I would like to apologize to my readers!  I have been absent due to a flu or virus that I am still trying to recover from.  I am hoping to get back on track very soon!

This song is one of the many that make me cry. I love it!

Joseph begged for His body that day

After this, Joseph, who was from the town of Arimathea, asked Pilate if he could take Jesus’ body.

It was late afternoon
When we got to the tomb
Wrapped His body and sealed up the grave
So I know how you feel
His death was so real
But please listen and hear what I say

And I knew, He really saw me too

As if till now, I’d never lived

It was His voice she first heard
Those kind gentle words

Asking what was her reason for tears
And I sobbed in despair
My Lord is not there
He said, “Child, it is I, I am here”

Then she turned around and saw Jesus standing there; but she did not know that it was Jesus. “Woman, why are you crying?” Jesus asked her. “Who is it that you are looking for?”

As they came near the village to which they were going, Jesus acted as if he were going farther; but they held him back, saying, “Stay with us; the day is almost over and it is getting dark.” So he went in to stay with them. He sat down to eat with them, took the bread, and said the blessing; then he broke the bread and gave it to them. Then their eyes were opened and they recognized him, but he disappeared from their sight.
