I decided to do something fun for today and share a recipe for Caramel Popcorn.
Caramel popcorn is relatively inexpensive to make if you do it completely from scratch.
Combine butter, brown sugar, corn syrup and salt. Cook on medium heat until sugar dissolves, stirring constantly. Continue boiling to firm
ball stage. (248°) Remove from heat.
Stir in baking soda. Syrup will foam.
Pour over popped corn and nuts. Toss to coat.
Bake at 250° for 45 minutes, stirring every fifteen minutes.
Cool and serve or store in an airtight container.
