How many remember seeing this film when they were kids?
One place that is fun to take a group of kids to is an Apple Orchard. My daughter’s girl scout troop had the privilege to visit Sycamore Springs Orchard located in Ebenezer, Pennsylvania. All the girls boarded a wagon pulled by tractor and we were whisked away through the beautiful countryside to the orchard to pick our own apples.
After choosing our apples, we were treated to a ride around the farm bedazzled in reds, golds and the orange hues of autumn.
Upon disembarking, we were ushered into the plant where they demonstrated how the apples were cleaned and polished followed by a treat of apple cider in individual size apple cups.
After the sweet trip, the girls were gathered for the return trip home and a basket full of apples to make applesauce on a future girl scout evening.
