GRANDMA’S GREEN BEAN CASSEROLE
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 medium onion, diced
1/4 tsp pepper
1 cup sour cream
1 qt. frozen French style green beans, cooked & drained
2 cups shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
1/2 cup crumbled buttery round crackers
1 tablespoon butter, melted
Preheat oven 350°. Cook beans. Saute onions in butter. Blend in flour.
Blend in flour, salt and pepper. Add sour cream and cook until thickened, stirring constantly.
Add drained, cooked beans and turn into shallow baking dish. Top with cheese and crackers.
Bake approximately 30 minutes at 350°.
